Has anyone used a PetSafe PBC00-11216 Outdoor Ultrasonic Bark Deterrent or any other ultrasonice training product? One of our dogs is a Aussie/Bassett mix and he has developed the habit of barking nonstop when he is outside. The neighbors are complaining and we need to do something.
I have a client who used one on her Doberman but found it was not very effective with her dog.
Depending on the dogs individual personality it may work well or it may not.
I have had the best success with the electric shock type of collars. They give a small shock and it does not really hurt but it does change the dogs focus and right now. Many adjust atuomatically if the dog continues to bark. They start out very light and go up if the dog does not stop. Once the dog stops they stop and reset to a lower setting.
They do stop the barking at nothing and just barking to make noise.
